Types of Springs We Made

Compression Springs:

One of the most common types of spring and can be used for all sorts of load-bearing applications ranging from pens to car engines.

The coiled wires absorb and store energy, and are able to push back when the pressure is released.

Torsion Springs:

Torsion springs are helical springs that exert torque, and often as the result of rotating action. The ends are usually attached to other components, and when those components are pressed or twisted to rotate, the springs push them return to the original position once the force is released.

The torsion spring is commonly used in clothes pins, garage doors and clipboards etc.  

Extension Springs:

Extension springs are designed to create a resistance to a pulling force. The ends usually have loops or hooks to connect two parts.

The extension spring is commonly used in screen doors, so the strategy makes the door easy to push to open and close automatically once released.
